Ear Prompter PROficiency
Ear Prompter PROficiency
This goes way beyond teaching you how to use the ear prompter. We also coach you through the performance styles and nuances of all of the major acting categories where the ear prompter is often used. And we provide pro-insight around working in those industries.
Many folks will say it's easy to learn the ear prompter. Takes just a day to learn.
Stick it in your ear, hit play, and repeat back the lines you hear. That's it. And that's true.
It IS that easy... if you don't want to be very good at it.
It IS that easy... if you don't want to work consistently with major national producers.
But if you want to WORK, then you will need a highly informed understanding of prevalent peformance styles, loads of pro tips to make your tech use invisible, helpful, and seamless, industry insight on navigating the job market, what to do when you land a gig, and... let's just say, you don't want to miss this course.
We were recently sitting at dinner at an upscale Vegas restaurant talking with our producer for a major global client, when the producer (unsolicited) said "I see loads of performers who say they are 'ear prompter proficient' but most of them do not have the mastery I need to be able to hire them."
Then he rattled off a list of skills and tools his performers need to have beyond "repeating back lines" and "being likeable."
Most of the performers they audition are missing at least one key element... and we will walk you through all of the elements.
So yeah, we make sure you have ALL the tools to become truly PROficient.
Live Office-Hours
When you register for the course, your two free months membership to "The Practice" begins.
(it's not some "add on" membership that you will have to cancel. Your access to The Practice simply ends after 2 months, and you keep access to the Ear Prompter PROficiency masterclass for the long haul.)
Inside, you'll find multiple Zoom office hours you can attend each week, hosted live by one of our coaches. Bring your recorded homework for feedback, ask acting or business questions, or work live on-camera to hone your performance.
When do these office hours happen? Typically we meet Tuesday 9am, Wednesday 9am, Wednesday 6pm, Thursday 12pm (All times CT), plus some Saturdays and occasional special meetings. (schedule may vary) Can't make a meeting? We've still got you covered with optional Flex-Coaching add-ons.

You are not alone
We believe in the value of watching others work. So we've got a built-in community, and the ability to give and receive peer feedback on loads of the assignments. Ask questions. Share your experiences. Network. There is no "self" in "Self-Paced". At least not here. You are not alone.
26 Assignments
With way more content and assignments than we could ever fit into a 8 week live class, you won't just learn ABOUT the ear prompter - you will DO IT. And do it some more. And more. Until you own it.
And we will coach you along the way.
Bonus Material
Get a walkthrough tour of a typical trade show, and loads of tips it normally takes pros years to figure out. Trade shows can be a tough world to break into if you don't already know what you are doing. We break that catch-22 for you.
Almost 5 hours of video
In a live class, most of your time is spent watching other actors work their lessons. The self-paced format lets you focus on YOU. We've loaded these videos with more specialized tips and tricks and concepts than we could ever cover with a group of live students. Best part is - you can watch everything over and over again so you don't miss a thing.
Optional Flex Coaching add-ons
Can't make it to Office Hours, or would rather work privately with a coach? We've got available options for that too that you can add-on during checkout.
You work, polish, record, and submit your performance on specific assignments and send in your tape. One of our coaches will give you detailed recorded feedback as they watch through your performance, pointing out what works and what needs work per current industry styles.
Be confident that you are implementing the lessons successfully. Finish the course with a career game plan specific to YOU, just as you would with a live class.
