Ear Prompter PROficiency

This goes way beyond teaching you how to use the ear prompter. We also coach you through the performance styles and nuances of all of the major acting categories where the ear prompter is often used. And we provide pro-insight around working in those industries.


Many folks will say it's easy to learn the ear prompter. Takes just a day to learn. 

Stick it in your ear, hit play, and repeat back the lines you hear. That's it. And that's true. 


It IS that easy... if you don't want to be very good at it. 


It IS that easy... if you don't want to work consistently with major national producers. 


But if you want to WORK, then you will need a highly informed understanding of prevalent peformance styles, loads of pro tips to make your tech use invisible, helpful, and seamless, industry insight on navigating the job market, what to do when you land a gig, and... let's just say, you don't want to miss this course.


We were recently sitting at dinner at an upscale Vegas restaurant talking with our producer for a major global client, when the producer (unsolicited) said "I see loads of performers who say they are 'ear prompter proficient' but most of them do not have the mastery I need to be able to hire them."


Then he rattled off a list of skills and tools his performers need to have beyond "repeating back lines" and "being likeable."


Most of the performers they audition are missing at least one key element... and we will walk you through all of the elements.

Live Office-Hours

Inside, you'll find multiple Zoom office hours you can attend each week, hosted live by one of our coaches. Bring your recorded homework for feedback, ask acting or business questions, or work live on-camera to hone your performance.


When do these office hours happen? Typically we meet Tuesday 9am, Wednesday 9am, Wednesday 6pm, Thursday 12pm (All times CT), plus some Saturdays and occasional special meetings. (schedule may vary) Can't make a meeting? We've still got you covered with optional Flex-Coaching add-ons.

    You work, polish, record, and submit your performance on specific assignments and send in your tape.  One of our coaches will give you detailed recorded feedback as they watch through your performance, pointing out what works and what needs work per current industry styles.

    Well, with your 2 free months of The Practice, we've got you covered with MULTIPLE live weekly meetings that are totally optional. So it's like a class, but more flexible.


    We stayed away from a restrictive 8-week-once-a-week class...


    Because we can teach you SO much more in this format. Seriously. There are 26 assignments built into this beast. 100+ lessons. An 8 week class? Typically about 8 assignments. It doesn't take a ear-prompter-scientist to do that math...


    Because a much larger percentage of your time is spent focusing on YOUR work, not sitting listening to other people work their material during a 3 hour class once a week. Learning from others is important, and we've got that built into this course.


    Because this is how the acting industry works in real life these days. Actors do all the prep work remotely until the actual gig. Our homework recording and submission process has a very similar flow to how you do auditions in the professional world. So we build good habits from the beginning.

    Are the Flex-Coaching sessions included? Are they live? What are they?


    The Flex Coaching options are not included in the regular course, but are OPTIONAL add-ons you can choose during checkout. We structured it this way so that we could keep the price as low as possible for the main course.


    If you don't choose a Flex Coaching option, you can still get LIVE feedback by attending Office Hours in The Practice (for TWO FREE months!)


    Flex Coaching is not live. Flex coaching means you record your takes for that assignment, then submit them on the platform. (Don't worry- we thoroughly teach you how to record and share your work!)


    Our teachers then record themselves in a review session where they watch through your homework  - so you can hear and see what THEY are hearing and seeing. They'll walk you through your performances giving notes along the way. They'll point out what you are doing that is working, and what you need to work on to bring your reads inline with current styles and that lesson's objectives. They'll give you detailed notes on that particular performance and what you should focus on in the future.


    They will be there for you - and are looking at your overall progress. All we took out of the equation is the scheduling difficulties!
