Take stock of what you’ve done.

If you’re like me, you probably always feel like you could be and should be doing more to further your career. While I think it’s important to be driven, it can be exhausting. It can be incredibly stressful to be an actor and it’s very easy to compare yourself to others and their successes. This holiday season, I encourage you to stop for a minute and take stock of all you accomplished.

Don’t worry about what you could do better or more of next year. Don’t compare yourself to the other actors on Facebook who always seem to be doing one more thing than you. Just focus on what you did this year. How far you’ve come. The people you met, the places you went, the classes you took and the auditions you had. It adds up. I think you’ll be surprised at what you’ve done!

Happy holidays! I’m off to follow my own advice…
