A famous scene in Indiana Jones depicts Indy trying to cross a bridge. The problem is that the bridge is invisible. It only shows up once he has taken a step. When he finally commits and takes a leap of faith, it appears.
This is a metaphor for life. The bridge doesn’t appear until you jump.
It wasn’t until I lost my job a few years ago and decided to work part-time from home, that I started making money in voice over. I didn’t choose to leave my job. I hated it, but I thought I needed it. Knowing what I know now, I would have quit!
This is why indecision is deadly. Deciding literally means cutting off options. Sometimes in fear of cutting off options, we stay in the middle somewhere. This confuses the hell out of the Universe because it doesn’t know what you want.
The path won’t show itself until you start taking action toward your goals. You won’t know how it’s going to happen. You just have to take one step at a time, and you’ll see the path as you go along.
The path will probably not look like you want it to look. It’s going to have twists and turns, dips, and potholes. It’s going to have detours, flat tires, and u-turns.
You’re not going to know how it’s going to happen until it happens, and only then will you have the luxury of hindsight.
Don’t give up. Take risks. Don’t let a detour deter you.

Just take a leap of faith and the bridge will appear.
Also… give yourself permission to fail.
